The Immigrants Tale

It was the case with the Irish coming into America, displacing poorer Protestants. Then it was the case as the Mediteranean Catholics came and displaced them at the lower end of the economic strata. Followed by the blacks coming up from the south, displacing the Catholics, in factory neighborhoods and the riots that followed. Now we see the Mexicans putting their own face upon the landscape, of low wages and plentiful labor. It is hard to imagine the recent boom in housing across this country without the hardworking stonemason, gardener, laborer, Mexican construction worker literally paving the way. In the poitical reflection of this it is perfectly understandable to note that the blue collar and Catholic voter has a hard time with Obama, just as most of the Protestants had a hard time with Catholic Kennedy. Before that I'm sure there are other examples, where moneyed easterners may have turned up there noses to midwestern self-made men. Or Yale men snubbing Cheney types.
The empowered masses act as a body, clinging to gut instincts. So the pattern continues and we continue to evolve. The younger crowd embraces the new, having no memory of the bad ol' days of civil strife and scratching out a living. In Masonry we choose to hold to the ideal, even as the evil humors of the country pour out bileous remembrance.

The Military Lodge of Freemasonry

When one reads Rudyard Kiplings Mother Lodge for the first time or better yet hears it recited from memory, one becomes aware of the potential of the fraternity. It isn't a joke when one is far from home and the men around you have only their reputation and bearing with which to establish themselves. Quiet, honorable, men of goodwill looking for that unspoken respect due, which I have only found in my life within the walls or under the sky with my brethren. Not given to easy conversation or bluster I prefer the discussion of matters of substance. That is why I am a Freemason, because with all the bull it is still the place where I find weight. So if I was in foreign lands and was in the military I too would be drawn to the square and compasses.

The Templar Standard and Gandhi

The Templar standard the Beausant, black over white, is reflective of the Zoroastrian tenet that evil must be taken on by good, of the oppressive power above the subservient and surrendering power below. Selfishness dominates selflessness. Gandhi and M.L.K. following the traditions of Christ demonstrated that a governance which touts the equality of men, must abhor violations of that tenet when confronted with such, but not until the masses demonstrate that "you can take my life but my integrity never". It is ironic that India had to show the world the elitism of Brittanias rule, the wellspring of Freemasonry. The use of violence to overthrow oppressors is embraced ineffectually by impoverished peoples, this is why rulers keep the people scratching out a living. Now in the world the masses are being kept with nose to the grindstone by no alternative to oil energy dominance. If Gandhi were alive today he wouldn't be spinning his own cloth, he would be erecting a solar tower and driving hybrids if not riding a bike. The huddled masses must again throw off the oppressor, this time its oil power. We can't have affluence in the world with the present energy profile. Enslavement finds a way, and so lets again wave the Templar flag, this time before the green turns. Namaste

The Golden Section spiral of Gaian organic growth

Mankind, as we are one, could unify toward proper stewardship of our home, the Sub-Sub-Logos Earth. Like the nautilus shell, and golden spiral extending outward, consider our civilizations collective intent to spiral forth. Organic growth becomes self limiting at some point, have we reached the end? Are we unable to expand further in this age of consumption and limited resources? Reality is probability and many seers perceive disturbances, they are highly likely but we collectively could make a great change in that probable reality, this is unlikely but possible. The maya or aztec calendar times the birth of the new age at 2011. Can we veer away from that highly probable difficult fate? Regardless, it is said that the cycles or ages begin and end with the regularity of the clock. Still we must treat the earth Mother Gaia as we ourselves would like to be treated. Would you treat your Mother this way? One thing that should be noted, is that the new age is not a terrible doom, we shouldn't see it as such, because that which strikes fear in the hearts and minds of humanity must be skeptically observed. Negative sources have often confused the overall good message of seers in order to confuse and distort the truth by seeding perceptions of impending doom. If mankind finds a moral compass collectively the spiral of our organic growth will continue if not....time is short and the laborers few.

The Papal Visit

I dont know if any of you noted the Papal Mass at St. Patricks Cathedral, but he spoke of God as the Great Geometer and remarked on the architecture of the building in allegory to the spiritual teachings. Hats off for a universalist directive.

Psychic Attack

What do we really know about the assault by thought. Accepting as we do that thoughts affect the body through at the very least the humors or endocrine system, that mind is always the form maker, must presume that the mind/body/spirit is complex and integrated. Psychic attack also presumes malevolence on the part of conscious adepts of the self service polarity, on the freewill plane and more ethereal planes often called the worthy adversary. Logical, but non empirical, inquiry requires that denial of these premises invalidates the whole arguement. So assuming that negative/dark entities desire to put out light sources, how do they prioritize and what means do they use? It is said that they use the distortions and unbalanced biases which open weaknesses of the individual and then by deceit and confusion attempt to diminish or extinguish the light bringer. As fear is often a goal for them, a loving embrace is one the most effective defense as it depolarizes them. Should one be wary of paranoid delusional thinking, attempting to banish the invisible? Few sources draw such powerful foes. Correct action, balanced thinking of opposites and goodness are usually enough to keep such elements at a distance.

The Orthodoxy of the Eastern Religions

In the western tradition, reincarnation is not the rule, from the Egyptians on down, one life was weighed for its good effect and judgement rendered by Diety. In the East the accepted Orthodoxy is that reincarnation is integral to the Plan of God, for his Creation. Leaving aside the agreement this has with Hermetic/scientific law, and Christs veiled hints in his teaching, we must agree that reincarnation is completely logical. And if anything the Diety is likely logical, throughout Its creation, mathematical inquiry leads to distant shores of logic. Reincarnation allows for the alleviation of karma outside of the limits of time. Imagine a soul trying to alleviate a debt caused on others during a time of famine. Born at a time of abundance, it would be easier to obtain the necessary cues and act. It also enables an evolution of progress, a sort of long range plan for the individual soul, lessons to be learned one step at a time. As such born veiled to Truth, in order to make the leap of faith, the lack of reincarnation would likely mire the unsuspecting soul who becomes misguided during a given lifetime of confusion and freewill. At times of enlightened thinking and less toilsome efforts to sustain the body, the soul can find answers which may cause a quantum leap to faith and service to others. Anyway you slice it reincarnation makes sense. Thank goodness recent seers have pointed us in that direction and communication with the East has opened to us.

Vices and Superfluities

Dross and fire, purifying the metal of the soul. Divesting ourselves of the vices and superfluities of life, to fit ourselves as living stone for the builders use. The Creators Plan is designed to give catalyst to the freewill experience, in a veiled state, that is like fire and air for the furnace upon impure gold. Through the choices we make and the consequences we encounter, over many lives, the metal of our souls becomes purified. This is the alchemical symbolism of the athanor. The only difference is that now we are in a crucial incarnation according to the Great Pyramids teaching as described by the Pyramid Decoded. Interesting, that modern man has the tools and manuscripts to understand the philosophies of the ancients, combined with many new sources coming to us. Still it is very difficult for us to discern truth in this world. If it were easy we would probably reject it. They say that truth is simple but that man is complex. According to Ra in the Law of One, the source of all distortion is the limit of the viewpoint. So it is the limited mind, which discounts the potentials of the spiritual Plan of Logos and its invisible potentials. The choice in the freewill plane is to believe and develop faith and purify the grade of service. Thus the fool steps into the abyss.

A Plan of God

In the Ra Material, Law of One, a primary theory is proposed on the Plan of our Logos. It is a Plan for soul evolution, an evolution of the breathe of God, sparked forth courageously and then returning, more aware. Seth also maintains that all is consciousness. That energy unifies and attains mass then imbeds in the mineral world with matrix and atomic structure. The consciousness begins to vortex upward for light, as a plant for the sun. Then a soul developes self recognition and freely moves toward the preferance of service, to self or others. By choice the souls metal graded, and tested by freewill, over many lifetimes, further on it proceeds.To the socalled light or the dark polarity, which by the way it is argued is a path based on illusion and separation from Diety, and is therefore built on that which is not. And Ra assures us that over the infinity of time/space all will be well, that our safety is never in doubt and that God is closer than our own breath. I for one would like to see our little experiment on earth proceed, so lets become better stewards of our earth mother please, and stop squabbling over resources like children.

The Blood Hero

Many of us have known of a life saved in part by blood product transfusion. The American Red Cross depends on volunteers to provide for the nations needs for blood. Every day hundreds of calls are made to the repeat donor hero who regularly answers this call and makes his/her way to the blood drive location for the blood letting. The Grand Lodges throughout the country are mobilizing to ramp up our community effort now. The lodges to have committees whose agenda is working to find paths where Red Cross needs can be met, with a motivated Worshipful Master seeking to sponsor a drive, who puts the strongarm on brothers to donate, or by meeting the needs of the Red Cross by supplying a suitable building for the Blood Drive. The most successful efforts are when a longstanding year after year Drive is held at the lodge. The Red Cross has a huge mandate and does not dedicate resources lightly, while walk in donors are welcome, they need a solid committment from at least ten donors to consider a new drive. Group action is required if we are to be sustainable. Lets start shining a light on this, when you hold a drive you have to get the word out, in churches, in town, at work,etc. It takes moxie, and we salute those donor heroes and send a shout out.
