Truth is the most powerful of all. No claim to it is made here, thoughtful and intuitive scrutiny is however encouraged.

Grist for the Mill
Often we don't want to devote even a few minutes to thoughts which do not jibe with our preconceptions. Here is an article that will take 10 minutes to read. I double dog dare you. http://llresearch.org/newsletters/issues/2008_2.pdf

I Find Myself Entirely Destitute
St. Bernard of Clairvaux, the oracle of Europe after the millenium, wrote for Hugh de Payens, the Exhortatio ad Milites Templi. One excerpt "they dwell without property of any kind, under one rule, preserving the unity of spirit. The whole multitude as but one heart and one soul. Respect is paid to the best and most virtuous." That the wealthy and the noblest of landed aristocracy moved toward Jerusalem is well known. What isn't known is why, men of wealth and ease would give up property to join in this quest to free Jerusalem. A similar event is happening today amongst the wealthy Arab elite, though they have not traditions of poverty and self sacrifice, but the secondary tier of adherants does. They are desirous of being involved in a Jihad/Crusade. We Freemasons often desire to be involved with something "greater than ourselves" We are in a new millenium, and the time for mankind to become as one heart may now be a real possibility. Is it time for the New Atlantis? As Jefferson said of rebellion "what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance." Money and power, well known to cause corruption , and why we come to the Temple entirely destitute.

The Hanged Man,Thumbs up or thumbs down
I think controversy is a good thing. Without being challenged in ones thinking we end up only considering the position, which is easiest and most conventional. Freemasons are free thinkers first and foremost. I wonder if when Jesus stood at the steps and the people chose Barabas instead of him to be set free, a violent man over a passifist, if part of him was greatly saddened by the rejection. In the Tarot, the hanged man is the Significator of the body, as the Hierophant is the Significator of the Mind. The essence...the direction, the Way. To sacrifice that which is valued in the physical world, like the approval of ones peers.

The World, Great Way of the Spirit
The Great Way tarot archtype of spirit, the world, suggests the joy of contact with the infinite energy, that force which transforms self and others. As all is One, not only could we consider that each individual could make a quantum spiritual leap, but even the whole world. T. Boone Pickens and oil man, a Texan, lo and behold, who actually gets it with wind power. A Masonic hats off to you Mr. Pickens. California's Arnold pledged himself to solarify buildings yesterday. This promise should have repercussions, proof of course is in the pudding, and to fail in this idea like the failure of the electric car and emissions program of California would be a further stain. The Chariot of the Great Way, is configured for movement, driven by choice, whether of mind, body or spirit.

The Holy Grail Cup
The robed brothers gather in a small group near the tent camp at night, soon Constance joins them in a quiet tight semi-circle observing together, as when a match is struck and the wind is kept low, while the cup is revealed. Small and rudimentarily, delicate, ceramic with a stem, it appears, earthy yet clearly visible in the hand. An archtypical Jungian symbol for the Seeker, hermetic in sacred order, offerring that a certain work could be undertaken. That the imperative is upon the unprepared Perceval, timeless and patient. The Magician archtype, the matirx of conscious mind, raises that cup of creativity. And into the night, the root of the unconscious, a pattern will be walked. The high priestess, awaits, the memory of the race, the memory of the Plan of Logos, and myriad probabilities are in store. What will become the chosen catalyst which will design the experience of the spirit.

Lightning Strikes the Tower
Don't you find it a bit odd that the twin towers destruction and loss of life almost mirrors exactly the tarot archtype #16, known as the potentiator of the spirit. Nostradamus in one of his last quatrains XII#52 speaks about the lightning struck tower too, first sentence starting and ending with two. But regardless, if you consider the possibility that all is now, and that therefore what seems to be linear time is actually already part of the skein, then the import of this singular event may be crucial to our destiny. The literal equivalent of the archtype could have been in the hall of records, root of mind, all along. And Ra says #16s effect is to cause hope and faith that is delineated by the next archtype, catalyst of the spirit or hope/the star."I am Ra. The excursion of which you speak and the process of disassociation is most usually linked with that archetype you call Hope which we would prefer to call Faith. This archetype is the Catalyst of the Spirit and, because of the illuminations of the Potentiator of the Spirit, will begin to cause these changes in the adept’s viewpoint."So first we have the matrix of spirit, considered the dark chaotic abyss, then we have the spirit potentiated, the towers, and then hope/faith, followed by the , the probable reality of the experience of spirit, or the moon. Which can be as reflectivley bright almost as sunshine, or as unreflective as to leave one in darkness. Well we are clearly upon the probability of destruction up until now, the lightening struck tower, potentiator of spirit.

Chaos and The Shepherds Embrace Archtype
Chaos theory describes the behavior of certain dynamical systems – that is, systems whose state evolves with time – that may exhibit dynamics that are highly sensitive to initial conditions (popularly referred to as the butterfly effect). As a result of this sensitivity, which manifests itself as an exponential growth of perturbations in the initial conditions, the behavior of chaotic systems appears to be random. This happens even though these systems are deterministic, meaning that their future dynamics are fully defined by their initial conditions, with no random elements involved. This behavior is known as deterministic chaos, or simply chaos. Chaotic behaviour is also observed in natural systems, such as the weather. Now from the Law of One the tarot lovers archetype or transformation of the mind, the Significator/Esse is using the shepherds embrace, emblematic of the choice of seeking. For transformation to occur, one principle must be abandoned "Let us now observe the evaluation of the two females. , The observation that to the left-hand path moves the roughly physical and to the right-hand path the mental has a shallow correctness. There are deeper observations to be made concerning the relationship of the great sea of the unconscious mind to the conscious mind which may fruitfully be pursued. Remember, O student, that these images are not literal. They haunt rather than explicate. Many use the trunk and roots of mind as if that portion of mind were a badly used, prostituted entity. Then this entity gains from this great storehouse that which is rough, prostituted, and without great virtue. Those who turn to the deep mind, seeing it in the guise of the maiden, go forth to court it. The courtship has nothing of plunder in its semblance and may be protracted, yet the treasure gained by such careful courtship is great. The right-hand and left-hand transformations of the mind may be seen to differ by the attitude of the conscious mind towards its own resources as well as the resources of other-selves.We now speak of that genie, or elemental, or mythic figure, culturally determined, which sends the arrow to the left-hand transformation. This arrow is not the arrow which kills but rather that which, in its own way, protects. Those who choose separation, that being the quality most indicative of the left-hand path, are protected from other-selves by a strength and sharpness equivalent to the degree of transformation which the mind has experienced in the negative sense. Those upon the right-hand path have no such protection against other-selves for upon that path the doughty seeker shall find many mirrors for reflection in each other-self it encounters." The butterfly effect occurs as each additional Seeker makes that choice, and may change the outcome bringing on the storm or the still waters and green pastures of the Good Shepherd.

Tesla and Blavatsky in 1893 Worlds Fair
The physical reality is polarized, positive and negative, the spiritual equivalents are the poles of service to others or service to self. This is the nature of the individuals choice, with all the degrees in between the poles of ultimate selfishness (self love) and ultimate selflessness (otherself love), as all is One. The equivalent law in the material world enables the different types of electrical conduction. Direct or DC current is exemplified metaphysically by a service which is unidirectional, one source radiating and one absorbing. In the physical world, AC power is much easier to use in order to span the vast distances in transmission. AC or alternating current, spiritually, is reciprocal, where neither source gives or takes exclusively, but alternates in service sometimes receiving sometimes giving. I'll bet its the same spiritually, across the ethereal heavens, movement under the AC type love/energy must be much easier. Alternating current was invented by Nikola Tesla, Westinghouse funded his lighting of the worlds fair in Chicago 1893, the same year that Blavatsky's secret doctrine was published. This launched the next phase of the industrial revolution, and soon the conversion from steam to electric factories was transitioning. This could be seen as part of the enlighening of the Kosmon era starting in 1884, the great step from grand gallery to entry to antechamber, thats on the level of the Kings Chamber.
