Genesis 1:14, Venus Transit, 2012

Genesis 1:14 says the stars are there for signs. Many ancients taught, that the stars and planets were astrological signs of events on earth. The writer of Genesis declares that the stars were put there for signs. A transit of Venus across the Sun takes place when the planet Venus passes directly between the Sun and Earth, obscuring a small portion of the Sun's disk. During a transit, Venus can be seen from Earth as a small black disk moving across the face of the Sun. The duration of such transits is usually measured in hours The first of a pair of transits of Venus in the beginning of the 21st century took place on June 8, 2004 (see Transit of Venus, 2004) and the next will be on June 6, 2012 . Venus was important to Maya, who called it Noh Ek, "the Great Star" or Xux Ek, "the Wasp Star"; [9] they embodied Venus in the form of the god Kukulkán (also known or related to Gukumatz and Quetzalcoatl in other parts of Mexico). In the Dresden Codex, the Maya chart Venus' full cycle. He was also the patron god of the Aztec priesthood, of learning and knowledge. In the Dresden Codex, the Maya chart Venus' full cycle, Johannes Kepler was the first European to predict a transit of Venus in 1631, not accurate enough to predict that the transit would not be visible in most of Europe. Pythagoras was credited with determining that the morning and evening pass of Venus were the same body. founder of the religious movement called Pythagoreanism.According to Iamblichus, Pythagoras once said that "number is the ruler of forms and ideas and the cause of gods and demons."
He was the first man to call himself a philosopher, or lover of wisdom,[2] and Pythagorean ideas exercised a marked influence on Plato. Of course there is also a lunar eclipse in 2012 and the A Great year completion bringing us to the New Age, (also known as a Platonic year or Equinoctial cycle) it is the time required for one complete cycle of the precession of the equinoxes, about 25,765 years, at the current rate. Ra of The Law of One sources its origin also with the planet Venus.
